Large Charcoal and Acrylic paintings on canvas – Depicting simple scenes from Township life. These paintings are first sketched in ink as a line and wash miniature and this inspires me to paint the larger version as an Ntshebe. Ntshebe means the Beard” and is what the Zulu people in my community call me. My colored Location, Location, Location paintings take so much time to finish that my relaxation was to ink simple ideas. By moving the ink with water on a paintbrush to accentuate the tone in the light and shadows a lively artistically presentable painting is produced of this miniature idea. I then paint the idea big. I price these paintings according to the reduced time it takes to produce a finished large painting so that they are affordable and a generation can grow with the brand.
